Hello everybody.

I've just joined the forum as I was advised that it's really informative and solves problems.

I hope you can help on this one then? I've moved to Portugal and rented my house out. The letting agent informed me that the tenants had problems with the heating and they sent someone out to repair it.

The plumber told us that it was the heating pump at fault and fitted a new one. It has solved the problem, but my son had a look when the house was empty and his comment was 'where the hell did they dig that old pump from?' Is this an old pump, or an old design? It cost quite a lot of money, so I was expecting a new pump.

Does anyone have knowledge of these Wilo pumps. I attach two photos.

Thank you very much for your opinions. Hopefully my son is wrong about this!

you sure it wasnt the 3 port what was changed above the pump (looks new ish)

Yea, - as Shaun said, the 3 port valve body looks fairly new (with old nuts).
The circulating pump is definitely old and that exact model hasn't been sold here for a few years now. So unless someone had that as very old stock, then it ain't new. Sort of looks used anyhow.

you can still get them but there getting rare if there new and tbh looks second hand

Might just be old stock that he had on the van. Get the letting agent to question it with the plumber. How long has it been fitted?

That pump has a date code in the number. Wilo would confirm when that pump was manufactured if you contacted them.
How much did the alledged new pump replacement cost?

Don't think they make them like that anymore. I know grundfos do not sell there version of that pump now.
