Hi everyone,

Just been to view a leak at someones bungalow.
The stopcock is plastic and is 25mm x 15 mm from blue mdpe to copper, it is quite old so i was thinking about taking the whole thing off and replacing with a brass one 25x15.
And then if needs be altering the copper pipe to fit new stopcock.
I would replace with another plastic stopcock but i cant see any in screwfix or city plumbing that match the sizes of the pipes.

So really any ideas would really be grateful as i havent used these plastic stop cocks yet.

And i take it a 25mm pipe insert would be needed for the 25mm MDPE pipe if i use the compression brass stopcock.

Thanks Darren

Hi. Yes its important to fit inserts with mdpe pipe. Good Luck

You fit inserts at all ends of all types of plastic pipe regardless of the connection type.

Use the standard 25mm x 15mm brass compression .stopcock
