Although on the CIS Scheme and working for 1 firm for the last 4 years since leaving college with Level 3(General Plumbing) I now have the opportunity to work for a new firm locally with minimal travel. They have stipulated that I need to provide my own Public Liability Insurance. Would any policy over me for private jobs. Any advice would be useful. Many thanks.

welcome along.

make a call to corgi insurance or allianz. they are quite good.

They will be able to say what cover you need, typically about £300
start adding extras and it goes up accordingly

Ring a few firms and get some quotes, i use Intersure and have £5million costs me around £220/£250 for me and double that for another guy.
