Hi,

I have a glowworm systempro programmer installed using climapro rf thermostats

I’m wanting to upgrade the system to hive.

There is no wiring centre as everything goes through the systempro programmer.

will I need to rip this all out and start wiring from scratch in new wiring centre before connecting the hive controllers?

the programmer is installed in the airing cupboard next to the dhw tank with the motor operated valves .. boiler in the garage a fair distance away.

I was hoping I could still use the old programmer as a kind of wiring center.

It looks quite complicated to m. The motorisedvalves aren’t connected via grey and orange, just have live and neutral to them? The room thermostat would be changed from ebus to mains voltage, losing money saving control there.

Yes on the existing set up, there was no orange and grey wires used for motorised valves.

I’ve had nothing but problems with the climapro remotes, losing signal and batteries die all the time, that’s why looking to change it out.

I’m thinking it’s a big job, prob too much for a DIY project though.

I think it will need a new wire centre, once the old programmer comes out and then from there wire in to the hive controllers.

I already started and have wires everywhere.

What have I done hahaha

Just going to update this post. Anyone out there who has a similar system and thinks it’sa quick fix to change to hive similar product.. please know this is a big job.

I had to rewire the heating after removing the systempro unit that has all the motorised valves going to it.

I bought a salus tc100 wiring centre from screwfix (not expensive), then had to rewire the whole thing following the supplied wiring diagram (s-plan). Then had to change wiring in the boiler from 24v ebus supply to 230v.

All good in the end, I wish the salus tc100 had come with a wiring diagram for 2 zone plus the hot water .. it caused some confusion but got there in the end with a bit of help from google.
