Hi Everyone,

Replaced boilermate boiler flow/return pump yesterday as old one was fried but just used a standard grundfos ups3 as seen people say standard pumps are ok to use for boiler & heating circuit of boilermate, customer says heating demand is constantly on now. I just wanted to check this would not have anything to do with the new pump as in the past i have always just fitted the manufacture replacement for the existing pumps, but do not see why this would affect the heating calling for heat anyway??

I personally think it would be a controller issue or boilermate PCB but just wanted some some more experienced heads opinion before i go back out. I put new pump valves on so wont be massive issue if i need to get the original pump and fit, but dont want to do this then it be a separate issue.

Appreciate your advice.

Many thanks

Which BoilerMate is it as there are a few different models? In my experience of these when a pump burns out it takes the pcb out with it, not always but because the pump is trying harder it increases the load through the pcb and melts the chip.
