urinal
A urinal (US: , UK: ) is a sanitary plumbing fixture for urination only. Urinals are often provided in public toilets for male users in Western countries (less so in Muslim countries). They are usually used in a standing position. Urinals can be with manual flushing, automatic flushing, or without flushing, as is the case for waterless urinals. They can be arranged as single sanitary fixtures (with or without privacy walls) or in a trough design without privacy walls. Urinals designed for females ("female urinals") also exist but are rare. It is possible for females to use male urinals with a female urination device. The term "urinal" may also apply to a small building or other structure containing such fixtures. It can also refer to a small container in which urine can be collected for medical analysis, or for use where access to toilet facilities is not possible, such as in small aircraft, during extended stakeouts, or for the bedridden.
Hi all,
I need to take a urinal off a panel to fit some plastic covering to the panel. Can someone tell me what size might be the nut holding the water outlet onto the urinal. It is an ideal standard.
Thanks
Hi all
I'm a female plumber, so don't much encounter a urinal (especially as I usually only do domestic work).
I've been sent pics of something that has broken in a urinal - it's the flush valve. As I gather, the urinal cistern fills up gradually, and flushes through every so often.

flushometer
Have a Sloan Royal urinal at church. Just replaced vacuum breaker seal. After flushing water comes up and leaks through holes in flush pipe. Is this a problem with clogged lines or flushometer? Thanks
I get called out to alot of urinals , I'm considering purchasing the milwuakee m12 drain cleaner, has anybody got experience with them or can you recommend another tool for the job ?
Thanks
hi guys. Currently stood in front of a wall hung urinal that slightly over fills on flush. It has a p trap rather than a bottle would this make any difference to flow rate? I can’t seem to adjust the flush valve. It’s not a cistermiser it’s just a constant fill and then at a level the flush...
Hi folks,
I've fitted 3 new urinals supplied with cistern, auto siphon etc. Now when I first fast filled the system everything was ok,water flowed into all 3 urinals perfectly, now since that, the cistern just fills up & overflows outside.Ive changed the siphon & same again.Ive took the cistern...
Chippy by trade, was tasked with renewing wastes and traps.
However, I'm confused to how to fit these wastes, I dont suppose it makes much difference, but what is the CORRECT way?
The old wastes didnt have washer, just masses of silicone used.
Thanks

Hi all. I’m new to this forum.
I have a urinal auto syphon that just won’t flush.(old concealed cistern and syphon, new solenoid and sensor fitting to pipework). Filling way above the full level and still nothing. The solenoid operates correctly. I have removed the urinal and filled it over a...
Hi all,
My name's Dominic - I'm posting this in the general thread as it probably covers a few bases, and thought I'd check this forum here for some possible advice.
This project will probably sound quite odd to many, and won't make much sense in a way (in terms of a functional plumbing...
Hi, I have some urinals which have Ll the wastes and flush pipes concealed. They are a bloody nightmare to fix a leak when they go wrong. The panel is too long to get your arm behind it to tighten traps etc. Now the little flush cones that come with it do not fit in. When I told the manufacturer...
Water authority been into a company workshop urinal and requested they bring it up to spec with an air gap/ petcock etc.. I understand the principals behind the mechanics but never came across a job like this before.. I've done a bit of digging and as I under stand a petcock should be fitted in...
Been asked to look at a urinal cistern that is constantly dripping - never dealt with them before. As far as I was aware they were on timed electronic devices that released every so often.
I've come across this which is constantly passing and causing the urinals to drip constantly, any ideas...
looking at fitting out a pub toilet refurb,it has 3 steel urinal troughs, each about 2 metres long with its own flush cistern, can you control all 3 off 1 cisternmiser,or do you need a individual one for each flush cistren
I am working with a contractor who has installed a cistern with auto siphon to flush 3 urinals.
The urinal flush drips constantly but never flushes.
The cistern is not located above the centre of the urinals, but on a side wall. As the flush pipe leaves the cistern it turns 90 and runs...
My local British Legion Club has three urinal bowls fed from one automatic flushing cistern.
Ideally they want to save water and keep the bowls smelling sweetly.
A cistermiser may do the economy trick but what about keeping the bowls deodorised? They don't want to use the loo blocks and, this...
Hi. I'm fitting new pipe work and spreaders to a vintage type triple urinal. The spreaders that are there look like they are fitted and tightened from the back, although the supply comes down the surface from the top. I can't get in behind them now though. Should be able to get old spreaders...
The geberit duofix 111.622.00.1 frame. Anyone know the list of compatible urinals? What is the pipe interrupter?
Also, why are there 2 flush pipes?
Thanks ...... jazz drummers!:confused5:
Anyone know what the minimum fall on a waste run from urinals is? Is it 18mm/m as with other waste pipe branches.
I’m looking at a job and the architect has suggested the following: 10m branch length from ventilated soil stack containing 4 urinals and 3 wash hand basins – basins are at the end...
Hey I have been to a urinal that is flushing over the bowl, any fix. I have thought of putting a chrome service valve on the 22mm spargde pipe to lower the flow while it's flushing.
