Tails, or The Amnesic Incognito Live System, is a security-focused Debian-based Linux distribution aimed at preserving privacy and anonymity. It connects to the Internet exclusively through the anonymity network Tor. The system is designed to be booted as a live DVD or live USB, and leaves no digital footprint on the machine unless explicitly told to do so. It can also be run as a virtual machine, with some additional security risks. The Tor Project provided financial support for its development in the beginnings of the project, and continues to do so alongside numerous corporate and anonymous sponsors.
Hi Guys,
I am currently working on a site, that has to connect radiator using the top and bottom method. Does it matter where the flow goes, I was always told it should go to the top, but my contract manager says it does not matter as the TRV's are bidirectional.
Have a job coming up where customer has converted bungalo into 2 stories and now wants all first fix put in so floor can go down. At the moment the building is a skeleton. I have never done plumbing in essentially a new build and was wondering how's best to 1st fix rad tails so they remain...
I want to change a kitchen tap so have turned off the main stopcock & hot water supply in the airing cupboard but when I disconnect the flexible pipes water continues to trickle out of both copper pipes. I've waited a few minutes to see if it will stop but it carries on so I'm stuck and can't...
just thought check here before doing it.. Can I solder hard regular copper onto soft copper tap tails with endfeed fittings without any problems? hopin for speedy replies as they're fluxed up and ready to go!
Please could I ask for someone to help me with sizing a rad for my living room. I have tried about 7 online sites so far, and have results ranging from 4379 to 6918 BTU's, which I find confusing as the same details are entered for each.
To give a bit of detail, I live in a bungalow that was...

Hi All,
first post here although have been a lurker for a while. I am hoping one of the pro's can advise me on the best practise and also most workable way to do this.
I have removed a large radiator from my hallway and want to cap the tails off. I am 'DIY' proficient at soldering and...

Anyone know of a good make that does not leak. I know it's pretty much a diy fix but the client wants it done this way rather than a drain down. They are behind raditor covers so won't be seen.
Hi,(first post-slightly nervous...)
I have old imperial size radiators and need to replace the valves (all 5 are different, most leak, and 1 is rusted to the point of disintegration). The rads themselves look fine, and if possible I'd prefer not to modify the pipework.
I've taken out the old...
We had a new utility room built and planned to put a combi boiler on the wall. The existing 22mm central heating pipes from the existing WB floor standing boiler in another part of the house, were extended to suit the new position and 22mm capped tails were left sticking through the ceiling. We...
Just bought an Instinct Chi monobloc basin tap. The M12 tails fit to the block approx 50mm inside the base. My question is - Do I need to strip down the tap in order to fit the tails due to the very limited access for spanner? Is there a special tool that I need? Any help much appreciated.
I Have some kitchen taps that were supplied with flexi tap connectors. The size of these are 12mm end to tap and 12mm female thread end to supply. Unfortunately the rubber washers in the female thread end have disappeared! where can i get replacements please?? most plumbing suppliers only seem...

And not getting water on freezing clamps/heads?
Sometimes if tails are short and/or tight against wall it's difficult to get a rag in between or tray under union.
Got a 10 bathroom/kitchen council job on next week, we have the stock in now, but all the basin and kitchen monoblock taps have come with flex hoses, where do people get the tails for soldering to 15 milly?
(Stock not ordered by us, some goon at the council)

Does anyone else frequently get problems with the 1/2" Tappings on towel radiators. 90% of the ones I have seen are dog rough, usually a really slack thread, and often leak no matter how much jointing compound you put on.
I generally just use PTFE or loctite on the valve tails, is there...
I fitted a couple of Grohe mixer taps yesterday and had to nip out to bee and poo for some 15mm/12mm compression reducers because the tap tails were 12mm conex.
What's that all about? I've fitted Grohe before and they were made for 15mm, is this a new thing or has my supplier sold me some...
