A switched capacitor (SC) is an electronic circuit element implementing a filter. It works by moving charges into and out of capacitors when switches are opened and closed. Usually, non-overlapping signals are used to control the switches, so that not all switches are closed simultaneously. Filters implemented with these elements are termed "switched-capacitor filters", and depend only on the ratios between capacitances. This makes them much more suitable for use within integrated circuits, where accurately specified resistors and capacitors are not economical to construct.SC circuits are typically implemented using metal–oxide–semiconductor (MOS) technology, with MOS capacitors and MOS field-effect transistor (MOSFET) switches, and they are commonly fabricated using the complementary MOS (CMOS) process. Common applications of MOS SC circuits include mixed-signal integrated circuits, digital-to-analog converter (DAC) chips, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) chips, pulse-code modulation (PCM) codec-filters, and PCM digital telephony.

I am doing some building work and have removed two rads. One removed yesterday.
This morning I switched on the boiler for hot water and noticed water near a TRV where the rad was.
Checked the TRV and it was...
Hi lads. Having some issues with the wiring of the above boiler. I've run a new live neutral earth to the boiler from the fused spur via the wiring centre. I always thought the pump was switched with the orange on the 3 port. Now the pump live is seperate do I run the pump direct to boilers pump...

Hello expert plumbers,
I need some help. I've had two plumbers round to look at an overflow drip from a hot water tank up in the top floor of my house. The drip is constant yet sometimes more frequent when the heating comes on.
I previously had the immersion heater on 24/7; having been...

Hi all
I've got a Glow Worm Ultracom CXi30 combi boiler which starts dripping water when the power to it is switched off. The house is 6 years old and the boiler was installed when it was built.
This happened once about 5 years ago when we went on holiday and the in-laws popped in and...

My son has a Glow Worm 23c Combi Boiler fitted in his flat, over the past couple of days the pressure has been playing up.
Basically, about 5 minutes after the heating switched on the pressure dropped and the heating switched off. He refilled the system to increase the pressure and heating came...

Hi,
I am wanting to replace my T40 room stat with a DT92e... i thought it would be straight forward so just bought one only to find that i need a permanent live feed.
My current t40 room stat does have three wires

Hi
We have recently noticed our radiators are getting hot when only the hot water is switched on. I have a Drayton mid point actuator. Which seems to be working fine. I took the actuator off too and manually moved the valve (it moved easily and smoothly) to the hot water position and still...

Hi
I have a Potterton Gold 24he combi that keeps losing pressure, needing refilled every 24 hrs. Error code points to an issue with the fan, but i think there has to be another fault to account for the lost pressure?
When the flow and return pipes are switched off at the boiler, and left...

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. We have a Vokera Linea 726 boiler which is, as best I can remember, about 10 years old. When the central heating is not on, the hot water is fine and the pressure remains around 1.5 bar, which I think is about what it should be. However, when we switch...

When the cold tap is switched from on to off, occasionally the boiler will briefly come on for hot water. I know it's not crossed, it's just the water hammer causing false readings on the flow sensor. Do I need to put a not return valve on the hot outlet?
I want to put the receiver for my new RF room stat in the airing cupboard. Ineed to wire the switching wires for receiver into the connection that comes from the programmer's ch on wire and white wire to 3 port valve. The programmer is downstairs in lounge. The only permanent live supply in...
Hi,
I have an old conventional boiler (Glowworm spacesaver) and its hooked up to a RWB2E Seimens programmer (see pic). My problem is I'm having to switch both the HW and central heating switch on inorder to get the central heating on. If I switch the HW off the central heating switches off...
When I switch my heating on manually, even at low the radiators are hot, but when I set it to come on with the programmer the radiators are almost cold, and the one in my bedroom is stone cold. I have an Ideal Mexico boiler.
I have had a very good plumber look into this on a number of...

So in my aunts house, its an old enough system, no motorised valves, yet whenever the timeclock is switched on, it takes the burner some time to get power to it. It may kick in after 20 minutes, it may kick in straight away. I changed the timeclock yet the problem persists. I have also renewed...

I've heard different rules from different engineers about the electric supply to boilers. My one mate who's an installer for BG says it has to be supplied via a switchable fuse spur and you can't just have a fused plug socket.
One of the guys I work with reckons that you can either have a...
