The United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) Teams, commonly known as Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command. Among the SEALs' main functions are conducting small-unit special operation missions in maritime, jungle, urban, arctic, mountainous, and desert environments. SEALs are typically ordered to capture or to eliminate high level targets, or to gather intelligence behind enemy lines. All active SEALs are male and members of the U.S. Navy. The CIA's highly secretive and elite Special Operations Group (SOG) recruits operators from SEAL Teams, with joint operations going back to the MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War. This cooperation still exists today, as evidenced by military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Called to do a landlord gas safety where a bg engineer had previously said AR because the oven door did not shut, I did not agree as this is a flueless appliance and although to cook the oven door needs to shut but it terms of safety it does not have to be room sealed and so I classed it as NCS...

Hi
I have a 2007 ariston combi boiler that was serviced by a plumber the other day. He rang me to say the seals are starting to go in the boiler and will eventually write the boiler off if not sorted. He said it 'melts from the inside out'.
Is this absolute ballcocks or a genuine problem...
Hi - my concealed mixer shower has been getting gradually colder over the last 3 months. I origianlly thought this was a problem with the Basi combi boiler but having got this checked by my local plumber the problem has been identified as the thermostatic mixer cartridge.

Hi all,
My Bristan Twist Shower Mixer has become increasingly difficult to shift from tap to shower using the lever. You used to be able to coax it by rocking the lever back and forth, but then that too stopped working.
I unscrewed the the mixer valve and noticed that one of the seals on the...

Hi, was just wondering what seals I need to buy to service a Worcester R35 HE Plus Combi. In the MI's it states the seal on the clean out cover should be replaced, and the seal on the burner should be inspected and replaced if neccessary, is it good practice to just replace this anyway? Thanks
One thing that really drives me up the wall is when i require a spare part for a boiler, you order these spare parts from your local stockist and they arrive without the required O rings, seals or gaskets why?
Why dont the manufacturers just put the required seals etc with the part you are...

I've done most of my plumbing in the USA, so bear with me.
I noticed, on another post, a claim that an in-situ, push-fit, soil pipe hub could be cleaned up to accept a solvent weld fit. Perhaps this is common practice here?
A further claim was made that liquid soap or swarfega would, in...
What do you use to reattach rope seals that have come loose around combustion chamber? The RGI I did my experience with used a bottle of red stuff with a brush but I can't remember the name of it?
how do i get at the seal inside the flush valve - roca post a diagram relating to their dual flush which isn't helping me. The valve a very lightweight thing and I am worried about breaking it. I think I need to replace the seals because the cistern is constantly leaking water into the toilet...
Hi, from a non-plumbing newbie,
I have an Isar HE30, which was fitted at my late mother's flat under the Warmfront scheme. I now use the flat as a holiday apartment and the boiler has just turned into a water feature for the third time.
This far, the boiler has been regularly serviced...

It had shrunk nearly an inch in circumference and was a crumbly mess, the condensate seal felt like it was made of chalk it was that past it.
Its no wonder these boiler havent got a chance if...
