When the grill is on high the flame slightly pinges through the metal seem on/under the burner. You can just about see the flame on the picture under the main flame line. Only happens when grill is on full. Anyone came across this before? Anyone think it is a reason to condemn the cooker?
How do engineers deal with these when the roon is over 10m cubed but a conservatory has been built on the back of the kitchen so there is now no openable window to outside? No where to vent to either.
Hi all,
Just some advice needed to fast track the fault finding for a job tomorrow. The customer is having an issue with their grill. When you push the gas tap in, allow the gas to flow, give it a spark - it ignites (While keeping the tap pushed in - they are able to get it to full flame) as...
Went to fit this today. Brand new but it did not come with the hex adaptor to convert the cooker fitting to a 1/2 female thread for cooker hose. Manual said optional extra. What is the point of supplying a cooker you can't connect up when you get it. From memory it was a leisure dual fuel range.
What are the collective charging for installing in / out gas cooker?
Upped mine to £80.00 labour and materials and feed back says expensive always what you lot think?
Being [New] at all this I might have a few things that I need advice on so please, if you think that I should know this then maybe it's just that I do know but as training takes soooo long to finish, I've just forgotten :)
Anyway the thing I need advice on:
Ive just fitted a Bush cooker and I...
Hi, I am taking out my gas cooker and replacing it with an electric one. The gas supply behind the cooker has a tap to turn the gas off. My question is, is just turning off the tap enough or should I get someone in to cap it.
Drainage for a commercial steam cooker?
Ive got to do the plumbing connections for a commercial steam oven / cooker. The water supply to it is simple enough, but the drainage is a little tricky. Its got a 50mm waste connection on the back of it, would these normally run into a gully? Im...
I've been asked to connect to an existing gas supply to add a cooker. The cooker is alread installed it just isn't connected to the meter. What's bugging me is I know all the usual checks but do I have to commission the cooker too. I would prefer to but is there actually a reg that states this...
Just been asked to install a free standing cooker in a hostel kitchen that already has 2 standard 4 burner hobs
The room is approx 36m3 with an opening door and three opening windows direct to outside
Apart from gas pipe size, can these appliances be fitted in a room this size without any...
Hi my mum has a 1950s New World range type cooker that we were worried was leaking gas. Today national grid disconnected it as there were very low ppm levels of gas from the 2 pilot lights. would it be possible to fix it with a service? Any suggestions please. We are in South Manchester.
went to fit a cooker in a council property today and it didn't have a openable door or window to outside due to a conservatory being fitted. no extractor either.
So i didnt install the cooker and advised to the customer to contact the council about getting vent or or extractor fan fitted.
she...
I have fitted a new thermocouple and gas tap {genuine parts} to a Leisure/ Beko gas range 3 weeks ago all working fine , customer asked for both to be changed as the grill wouldn't work after letting the button go. He has now called to say same problem , grill lights , hold button for 30...
Hi guys, I hope someone can help me out here. First of all let me say that I am only 16 years old, and I have just started my apprenticeship in plumbing, so as you can expect not a lot of knowledge :) but I am willing to learn and hopefully one day I'll become a very good plumbing engineer. One...
Hi I had a call out the other day after a guy disconnected a gas cooker as it went to full flame after lighting, he wrote if off as fsd inopp (straight to full flame)and disconnected the gas, now I thought If the burner had a thermocouple as this one did then the burner would light to full flame...
