In geometry, topology, and related branches of mathematics, a closed set is a set whose complement is an open set. In a topological space, a closed set can be defined as a set which contains all its limit points. In a complete metric space, a closed set is a set which is closed under the limit operation.
This should not be confused with a closed manifold.
Well the arms is just full of closed threads today ! But you know in the public plumbing forum where the threads been moved i can still click them and read so can the joe public read them to ? Just think its silly to still have them there if were trying to look professional and theres threads...

Hi,
I have a Tribune Range HE, direct unvented cylinder with a gas boiler. Recently I had a very small leak (more of a weap) from the two port valve on the CH. I isolated the water supply, electricity and closed off the valves I could see directly effecting this circuit. I removed the...

We discovered a leak above our airing cupboard, after much investigation and tearing up loft insulation, ripping off pipe cladding etc offending pipe and location found.
The leak is coming from the screw part of an isolator valve...
Hi There,
Have a WC closed couple Washer problem. Does anybody know where I can get a closed couple washer that is stepped. Best way to describe it is a squashed "T"
The top of the T sits on the siphon nut and the Vertical penetrates the Pan?

Hi. In my plumbing system there is a device labelled 'bypass valve, do not adjust'. It has a scale (with a pointer) marked between 0.05 and 0.5 bar; the rest position is at 0.5. It seems to be connected between the flow and return of the primary coil of the DHW cylinder. What circumstance is...
3 bar pump supplying the house, hot fine, cold sporadic. The cold supply is fine but at the taps it's poor. Stripped the pump down (Stuart Turner) found nothing wrong. It seems to build pressure then loses it within seconds.Anyone any clues or come across this? ta
