blades
A blade is the portion of a tool, weapon, or machine with an edge that is designed to puncture, chop, slice or scrape surfaces or materials. Blades are typically made from materials that are harder than those they are to be used on. Historically, humans have made blades from flaking stones such as flint or obsidian, and from various metal such as copper, bronze and iron. Modern blades are often made of steel or ceramic. Blades are one of humanity's oldest tools, and continue to be used for combat, food preparation, and other purposes.
Blades work by concentrating force on the cutting edge. Certain blades, such as those used on bread knives or saws, are serrated, further concentrating force on the point of each tooth.
Seem to be quite a few making them nowadays... Saxon, Shark but don't want to fork out for Bosch if I can help it, just a fair value assorted pack for timber/plastic. Which are decent?
I treated myself to a recip saw today to cut a cast soil stack alternative to the angle grinder I normally cut them with, yes get to say I can see this tool getting a lot of use just need to refine my blade choice as the ones I used today took 5 to go through it (was a thick tough bugger mind)...
Hi, our 2year old Saniflo macerating unit has decided to stop working. When in situ it hums but the blades do not turn, nor does the pump pump. However after taking it out everything works IF the blades are given a little kick start. Any ideas as to the problem?
I have recently been looking at the possibility of buying a multitool, upto now I have not really seen the need for one but have had a couple of situations where they may have been useful.
What do others use them for? Do you think they are worth having or just something that takes up space in...
Bought one off system3 and used it for the first time yesterday.
I honestly don't know how i managed without one before.
Made light work of several tasks.
If you don't have one you really should get one.

Hello,
I've used a number of different silicone removers (HG, Unibond and No Nonsense) and wondered if anyone had found one that was any good.
They all seem to get most but not all of it off and you still have to resort to blades, scrapers and scourers!
Thanks
Mark
