I thought explaining why we have the system in place will help you guys get over it.

It's to do with our search engine rankings, and how much traffic we get.

So a thread could have a nice long first post, a customer asking about a bath or whatever. Then one person replies to it, a few sentences, and the customer has sorted out their bath.

Then what we had was a lot of "I agree" "Yes" "As Above" type replies going down the thread. And that causes issues. Because around those couple of words, we also get duplicated, your username and tags, and where you're from and other things in your post area. Like the report button and that kinda jazz.

So the way to get around it is to encourage longer replies to posts.

So if you feel like posting a short 'I agree' post. Perhaps say why you agree and what other ways said fix could have been done. If it has already been said, then don't reply at all. Just the like button on the ones you agree with, and move on to another thread. Or just log off.

Don't get wound up about it. It's a forum on the internet and it wont be mentioned at your funeral so it's not worth giving yourself heart attack over.

I hope that helps. :)

When we stick systems and processes in place, it (nearly) always has a good reason behind it that improves the forum as a whole (perhaps not the few moaners - but we wont ever sort their lives out on a forum eh?! :D :D )
