The worcester bosch at my girlfriends flat had a slight leek last week inside the boiler, we had someone come out and replace the pipe that was leaking. The water went over a few of the internal boards so he said probably best to leave leave things to dry out a few days before turning it on.
However now the pressure is rising on the system and it is turned off. I have the loop pipe thing that normally she uses to top up the pressure disconnected.
I have released the pressure twice now by bleeding a radiator until it goes down to 1 bar, but after a few hours it goes right up to 5 bars again. Does anyone know why this could be happening?
As above if a combi it sounds like an internal part is faulty or needs sorting out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Always check gas safe engineers card before allowing them to open up boiler & start work on it.
If the pressure relief valve operates they sometimes chatter loudly & also if you look at the open pipe where it passes through the wall you will see it leaking water.
If it does not go through the wall but instead discharges through a tundish - (Plumbcenter - Altecnic straight tundish - Product Code: 537993) you would be looking to see if water was flowing through this as it indicates that the pressure relief is operating.
But to re-iterate as above best to get a Gas Safe engineer out to look at it or failing that contact Worcester Bosch & see if they can do a fixed price repair for you,
