Hello, I have wrote on here before regarding this issue but it's now went one stage further.

I am a sole trader and I done work for a bathroom showroom at the start of this year. Basically we got 4 jobs down and never seen any payment and now the company has closed.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can claim some money back for the unsettled invoices?

I'm due to get married next year and now don't think it's goin to be able to happen because of the amount owed so I'm pretty desperate to try and get anything I can. Thanks in advance

If they have folded you can only add your name to the list of creditors I expect. Have you had written confirmation of this or is it hearsay?

I am no legal professional of course, I am going off things in the past that happened to us and people we know.

ouch, 4 jobs and not been paid - not sure I would have turned up to the 2nd with payment outstanding.

Your chances of recovering much of whats owed is low and it'll take a long time......

You'll be well down the list and probably get sweet fa.

Depends how nasty you want to be, always somebody willing to break a few legs for a % of what your owed.

I wouldn't recommend DIYing this one, what to do depends on a lot of factors. Talk to a firm of solicitors that specialises in debt recovery. Keep in mind that you can't get blood out of a stone and that every hour you spend pursuing your case is time you are not earning.

If you were a contractor /sub contractor, you will have no chance..

If you were an employee of the company, you would have a much better chance.
What were the arrangements between you and the bathroom company?

You may need some legal advice determining what your employment status was working for the bathroom company

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
