Mounting Combi boiler

I am having a new C/H system fitted next week. Where the boiler is to be mounted is a bare concrete block wall. Is it safe to put a plywood lining over the concrete for the boiler to mount to and, if so, what is best plywood to use? I seen a picture of a boiler mounted in this fashion which made me wonder on the safety aspects.

I use hardie backer 12mm cement based board B&Q fixed to the blockwork first . Cheers kop

I would use what ever your gas safe engineer recommends mate. He has to be happy to put the boiler there.

TBH what are you doing to the block wall after if it's staying the same get it mounted to it if it's being plastered then put some ply behind the boiler etc

If your not experienced I would be careful about mounting a combi boiler anywhere and always use protection especially if it’s plastered

As I said above mate. I would like to see the condition of the wall behind it

The wall will be getting plastered then painted as it is in a recess (visible) in my hallway. Just wasn't sure if plywood would be an option.

What boiler you going for ?

Most boiler manufacturers allow you to mount onto ply. Just check with them if your engineer is unsure

Let me see let's use garden hose for gas feed as well!!!!!!!!!!
And plastic straight of boiler feeds.
