Are you asking me to put the old programmer back on and change the wires?

No just choc block them two wires together that went in 4 and 5 on the old prog

Will test if it's a wiring fault or something else

Hi

Have choc blocked wire from 4 & 5. (as per attached pic) Still CH not kicking on. Do I need a wire to go into no 4?

No as it should fire independent of the hive now

If you can remove the Earth wire from the chock block and put it into the live terminal on the new backplate

Heating should fire

TBH there always a pain I would recommend re wiring it

What do I do with the blue wire that left in the choc block?

Just leave it in the choc block for now

Are you sure you have an s plan system?? Looks more like a y plan

There will be a port valve somewhere, and will either have 2 or 3 pipes connected to it

TBH it might be worth putting it all back how it was and getting a pro in to install/ rewire it to a decent standard

Thank you for trying to help. I'e got a heating engineer coming on Monday. It's absolutely freezing so was hoping to get it sorted.

Put the old prog back on and you should be warm
