Late evening just filling bath until the hot water stopped. Cold water still running with loads of pressure. Quickly in to the garage to collect the ladders. Once in to the loft the header tank is empty, with only a small tickly/sprinkle coming out of the ball cock area. Any ideas?

Possibly just some muck caught in the seat, worth stripping down to check first.

You may benefit from a new unit but it may just be a small stone partially blocking the valve seating.
