My mum is trying to connect a washing machine and dishwasher in her kitchen. She got a guy out to do the job and he ended up making a hole in her washing machine hose and ramming the dishwasher hose into it, held together with masking tape and charged her 200 quid for the privilege of her kitchen ending up flooded.

She bought a y splitter, 3/4 inch, but it doesn't fit the pipe (although apparently 3/4 inch is the standard size). She can't afford to pay someone else. Can anyone advise what part she needs?

If you measure the internal dia you should be able to find a y Barb for that dia not the correct way as you shouldn’t be teeing them together without increasing the output hose
