Hi, I was hoping for a little advice on my central heating problem, I have no heating and no hot water. I noticed a noisy pump yesterday so I removed the bleed nipple but no water came out, I also pushed a screwdriver in the opening and the pump was turning. The boiler seems to work for a short period and then switches off, it is an automatic ignition. could this still be a faulty pump ? could he be a faulty 3 way valve. I had a new boiler gas valve fitted last week and a boiler fan 12 month ago. the pump is about 10 year old and is a Wilo Gold 60. thanks for any help

get someone to check it hard to say accurately without being there!

Thanks was hoping to try and get some hot water for this evening, got an engineer coming tomorrow I hope

Thanks mate will do, Does anyone know which is a good replacement pump as I believe this pump Wilo gold 60 is not made anymore.

Grundfos UPS 25/60 (OEM pump) or you can pay an extra £30 if you would like the same pump painted red (UPS 15/60)

No not sure how, was just hoping to get some hot water until I can get a gas engineer friend around to locate fault, just horrible weather to have no heating or hot water

No immersion heater then?

No that's decided to pack up to had a stinky couple of weeks with the gas valve needing replacing

Feel for you mate, looks like it's a kettle of boiling water for the basin then. At least you haven't got long to wait until it gets looked at.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
