hi guys,

got a bathroom refurb to start this week, the customer is supplying there own suite. The shower is one with a fixed shower head and a seperate shower head on a hose. the shower valve is a three way diverter, I've never fitted one of these before. can anyone explain what the three different controls do and any tips on plumbing it in would be great.
Thanks

three different controls

control one - hot and cold
control tw0 - selects riser rail or fixed head
control three - is pressure

valve has four connections

hot cold riser and head

normally connect via 1/2 inch male irons.

Would be good idea to look at manuafacturers instructions before you begin to check if the water system is suitable for the installation i.e low pressure set up but shower /taps require high pressure common fault when custard supplies good luck:)regards turnpin

good idea turnpin customers only but what they like the look of don't think about technicalities like pressure.

if theyre on a vented system - definately need a pump - combi would be ok.

what we do with these sort of valves is place them outside the screen so shower can be turned on or off with out getting wet - extra work but looks the part!

Here is one I did lol I hope yours in a a stud if it's like this

also it says its suitable for low pressure, but is it still ok to have it pumped?

Thanks moony, what about pressure? the existing shower is gravity fed and pumped, is it ok to have a low pressure mixer pumped or will it need to be a high pressure shower?
Thanks again for the advice
