Hi Guys

I have my ACS practical this week and was wondering what to expect. We've done all our papers, but there's a wait for the practicals, however need to know what to expect when I walk into the bay.

Our tutor is not every good at getting to the point when you've asked a question, or he's not around when we need the help. So, I'm hoping you guys could help me :)

Any advice, or knowledge of where to start when I walk into the practical would be very helpful.

Cheers guys

You'll be putting into practice what you've just put on paper.

You'll be be asked to identify faults on an appliance, and select the correct warning notice and label.

you'll need to identify controls and explain how they operate such as multifunction control, flame rectification, liquid vapour etc

you'll need to be able to confidently carry out flue flow and spillage test and take a combustion analysis.

And gas rating an appliance then the obligatory solder a fitting.

dont panic or get flustered no one is trying to trick you or catch you out. You're demonstrating your competency
