tiling
In geometry, the hexagonal tiling or hexagonal tessellation is a regular tiling of the Euclidean plane, in which exactly three hexagons meet at each vertex. It has Schläfli symbol of {6,3} or t{3,6} (as a truncated triangular tiling).
English mathematician John Conway called it a hextille.
The internal angle of the hexagon is 120 degrees so three hexagons at a point make a full 360 degrees. It is one of three regular tilings of the plane. The other two are the triangular tiling and the square tiling.

I've got to fit a new upstairs toilet for a customer. The existing has a cast iron soil pipe. This need to be shortened by approx 200mm. Is it best to use a grinder, I'm concerned about the amount of dust this will cause. Also, will standard plastic fitting get a good seal? I haven't worked...

I'm on a plumbing course which doesn't include other skills such as bricky, chippy, plasterer and so on.
Problem is I'm nearing 40 and not much different to a 20 yr old out of college, (which one shall I hire, decisions decisions, said the employer).
Now I've drilled holes, notched and drilled...

Not sure what size they are. Seen them once or twice. Friend's house has them feeding all rads. A decorator put a rad back on and the pipe bent double. What's the point/benefit of them?
The old system seemed to work fine but this new one we find a bit of a nuisance
what says the rest of you ?
We thought we had logged on to the wrong site at first.
