tiling
In geometry, the hexagonal tiling or hexagonal tessellation is a regular tiling of the Euclidean plane, in which exactly three hexagons meet at each vertex. It has Schläfli symbol of {6,3} or t{3,6} (as a truncated triangular tiling).
English mathematician John Conway called it a hextille.
The internal angle of the hexagon is 120 degrees so three hexagons at a point make a full 360 degrees. It is one of three regular tilings of the plane. The other two are the triangular tiling and the square tiling.
Got an old lady who has a few tiles falling off wall, tiles are 40 yrs old!
Now, easy to get off, what do you guys use to get the old adhesive off without breaking the buggers please?
No room for broken tiles!
Thx
For a different brand of shower.
Not sure how those elbows connect to pipework in wall. Looks like it would be easy enough to leave them in place and fit another Aqualisa I guess but if different options are wanted (and not keeping old non-shiny elbows)
Thanks
Went to do a private job and change the cartridges in this tap and both are seized into the tap. So have to replace the tap.
Have to remove the tiles which sit directly underneath a mirror above and a glass shower screen to the right.
If I manage to get the tiles out without recking the mirror...

Up until now i've got by doing all plumbing except full bathrooms. Normally I do the plumbing and sub the tiling out to a tiler. To me i'm giving away work so want to stop it.
I...
I didnt want to hijack milsys recent thread.
i know every bathroom is different and there is a massive difference in 'doing' a bathroom and just putting a suite in.
I did one back in march , two lads did it in a week about 3 years ago, I had to put it right.
it was an absolute abortion...
I was going to do a couple of simple, DIY courses (6 weeks each) in plastering & tiling.
I asked my plastering mate about it and he said complete waste of time!! Shot me down in flames!!
Any thoughts? It'll be a couple of hours a week in an evening for 6 weeks.
Hi, can anyone give me more information on what exactly Part P & 17th Edition qualifies someone to do?
also do you need a qualification to tile professionally. saying that someone knows and has been tiling for a long period of time without a qualification. Thanks.

Been tiling all day and its doing my head in. I'd much rather be doing a bit of plumbing!
I never price tiling up right. It's a pain in the bum. I don't find it therapeutic like some losers do. I can't wait for this bathroom to be over with.......but then there's another to do with even more...
How difficult is it to learn?
I've been let down by my tiler on a bathroom job and was thinking how much smoother bathroom installs would go if I could do the whole thing (bar plastering, that is witchcraft!).
Despite them invading our forum, I actually have a lot of respect for decent tilers...
Hi all,
I am looking at running the UFH for the first time since the tiles were laid two weeks ago. I am just confused as to the correct way to turn this on. The main manifold has always been set to 35c and at the moment there are no room stats linked to the UFH system in the two rooms...
