Apparently, we have a copper soil pipe with a diameter of approx 900 mm. We are installing a new shower and need to attach waste to the soil pipe, but due to it being made of copper, ii understand that will not be possible. Is there a way to cut the pipe take out a section and insert a plastic...
Just want the experienced guys/gals to tell us how to ensure we get top dollar for scrap. I always feel I could have gotten more pounds each time I drive off after weighing my scrap? Any tips, please?

Went to scrappers today and prices seems to be going downwards. The scrap yard is considered to be pretty good for the area.

Whats you're local scrappie giving at the moment, I took a van load in friday morn and got £2.80/kilo for braziery and was quoted around £100 per tonne for general scrap (skip full of rads/boilers/fires etc)

Went to weigh in some scrap t'other day , there was loads of bundles of new copper pipe that people had obviously weighed in and the scrappies were just crushing it to recycle . What a waste, but when I asked them how much they wanted per length they were no cheaper than your average merchant...

I've just finished refurbing three houses and have acquired three copper cylinders and a shed load of scrap copper. I'm lazy and don't take my stuff to the scrappies very often so am not up to speed with scrap prices can anyone help as a guide so I don't get ripped off.
