Evening all I was just wondering do you guys clean your scrap ie cut the soldered joints out and compression joints out or just bung it all in together as Ive got a fair bit of it collected and I'm wondering if it's worth doing it or not? thanks

Just been to a job, no HW but CH ok.
Custard had plumber around three times, first time put cleaner in, no difference.
Second time, power flushed system, no difference.
Third time, took cylinder out and flushed through.
Still didn't work so plumber gave up.

took some crap down the scrappies today, I had a small cylinder and a copper back boiler, the back boiler felt like double the weight of the cylinder but they both came up at 7kg ?
When i take scrap in I usually obviously sort lead from copper, but most of the copper and even brass goes together.
Does anyone sort copper / brass and get more money that way? I was told that even cutting joints off and having 100% copper or lead commands a much higher price?
