Is it worth bothering to remove insulation from old water tank and weigh in clean, or just take it down to the scrapper as it is??

Over the years I have collected pipes and a few Hot Water Cylinders from my DIY efforts.
Having now accumulated enough to become a space problem I really should get rid.

Hi, anyone know if there is anywhere to send knackered Danfoss oil pumps to get them recycled? I have collected a few in my workshop now and I don't just want to send them for scrap. Cheers
I called the scrap metal merchants today to find out they are paying just £ 2.10 per kg on braisey copper which used to fetch £ 3.50+.
Do I stockpile my metal and hope for prices to go up or is it not worth the bother and just weigh in all my copper ?

Just sorted my scrap collection out , a full dustbin of brass, three sacks of clean copper and a bucket of brazery copper. I worked it out as a measley £195 worth. And that's a years worth for me.

Once again I have a cake load of scrap am sure someone said they use a metal chop saw I think this would save so much time soo where is the cheapest to get them I know screw fix were doing them not bothered if I kill it as it will be worth it
