    Loud noise when the cistern is filling up

    glow worm 60FF boiling

    Our glow worm gas boiler, when it has been running for an hour or so, every so often makes an enormous rattling noise in the pipes above the boiler that sounds like boiling. I think it is also spurting water out of the header tank overflow. Is this cavitation and what can we do about it? Thanks

    Grundfos noisy

    I have a noisy Grundfos central heating pump. It rattles sometimes. If I undo the big screw in the middle of the pump, there is the sound of a puff of air, (in or out, I don't know) and then on restart the pump is quiet, for a while---then it starts rattling again! How do I fix this...
