open vented
An open-source ventilator is a disaster-situation ventilator made using a freely licensed (open-source) design, and ideally, freely available components and parts (open-source hardware). Designs, components, and parts may be anywhere from completely reverse-engineered or completely new creations, components may be adaptations of various inexpensive existing products, and special hard-to-find and/or expensive parts may be 3D-printed instead of purchased. As of early 2020, the levels of documentation and testing of open-source ventilators was well below scientific and medical-grade standards. One small, early prototype effort was the Pandemic Ventilator created in 2008 during the resurgence of H5N1 avian influenza that began in 2003, so named "because it is meant to be used as a ventilator of last resort during a possible avian (bird) flu pandemic."

When bleeding the radiators it is recomended to turn the boiler off to prevent air being drawn in (can't see how if the system is at 1.5 bar).
If the boiler and zones are off then would it bleed ok or do I have to ensure that the zone valve is on whilst the boiler is off?

I fitted a new indirect open vented cylinder in some ones house about 6 months ago . It has started leaking slowly from the seam near the bottom & I am not sure what to do about it .
1. Return it to where I got it from & hopefully get a free replacement .
2. Empty it , turn it upside down &...

Cold feed was taken from the bottom of the cwsc.
Hot feed taken from vent pipe level...

Dear all
Due to a slight oversite in the plumbing of our new build house, we realise that the flow and return pipes to one of our two underfloor heating manifolds runs above the f/e tank!
The house is single storey with no loft so we cannot raise the f/e tank any higher. The pipes above...
