Big dilema on this...As not too busy...
Done a couple of small jobs for a letting agent. They want you to turn up, diagnose problem, estimate cost, then get permission to do job! Contract manager can only approve upto £70, above that needs someone else to approve, which may mean going back later...

Told the customer it is just coincidence, and not my fault lol. Basically the...
New to gas, so please bear with possibly stupid questions...
If you were say replacing a faulty diverter valve or similar non gas problem, would it be best to do basic gas tests as you are working on the boiler? I think so - but as not touched gas pipes is it required?
cheers

A year ago I moved into a property which has an oil boiler, and I am now in the fustrating position with it developing an intermittant fault, although I am GSR and am more than happy fault finding on gas boilers, I do not know the sequence of operation on oil boilers.
If anyone could perhaps...
Hi
I have a fault with a Baxi HE 133 combination boiler. I had a gas boiler engineer round to inspect it. He suggests that the boiler requires a new PCB electronic board. But I would like a second opinion, or as many informed opinions as I can get before forking out £200+ to have this...
Hi peeps.
Went to a customers house to diagnose a boiler fault. The above boiler isn't firing, there's no room stat. Tried running the hot tap. Tried re-setting it. Not even the pump is firing. There IS power to the boiler.
I've had a look at the ariston fault finding flow chart...

Hello,
Our boiler is very noisy when recirculating water. We beleive this to be air in the system and think that the automatic vent maybe the fault. Could anyone please offer any advice how to change this and if we will need to drain the system (partially or fully?).
Many thanks
Steve

Hi all, just visited customer who says heating and hot water not working.
System is y plan. I checked for water in system-all good, spent time making sure controls were operational (which they are) and and that the pump is working.
I then bled the radiators, air vents and pump.

The boiler work for about 30 sec and then stop, 30sec later it will come on again and so on. The boiler working like this for the last two days.
The problem occured when the system demand for heating and hot water.
What could be the problem?
