A mobile application or app is a computer program or software application designed to run on a mobile device such as a phone, tablet, or watch. Mobile applications often stand in contrast to desktop applications which are designed to run on desktop computers, and web applications which run in mobile web browsers rather than directly on the mobile device.
Apps were originally intended for productivity assistance such as email, calendar, and contact databases, but the public demand for apps caused rapid expansion into other areas such as mobile games, factory automation, GPS and location-based services, order-tracking, and ticket purchases, so that there are now millions of apps available. Many apps require Internet access. Apps are generally downloaded from app stores, which are a type of digital distribution platforms.
The term "app", short for "software application", has since become very popular; in 2010, it was listed as "Word of the Year" by the American Dialect Society.Apps are broadly classified into three types: native apps, hybrid and web apps. Native applications are designed specifically for a mobile operating system, typically iOS or Android. Web apps are written in HTML5 or CSS and typically run through a browser. Hybrid apps are built using web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 and function like web apps disguised in a native container.

    Only available for FREE on Android: PartsApp It's basically identical to parts arena but it doesn't cost £300 and only available for android. I have access to parts arena with my plumbs account but it's web based and annoying! Just thought I'd share the love!!!

    Gas installer work mate app

    Does anybody else have this software? Downloaded it today and looks good but it's so slow and buggy, keeps crashing. I'm having to sync manuals to my phone so that I can view them if I don't have internet on site. Anybody else have issues? Quite steep too at £32.99.

    BAXI App

    Just thought I'd mention that BAXI have a new app, it's free and has there error codes, pipe sizing and a gas rate tool. There adding works to it at some point, looks the same as the mr combi apps. It's on iPhone and android.

    app issues with Salus it500 internet thrmostat

    Hi, I have a Salus it500 internet thermostat system. It worked fine all last winter and never used the app but have just tried to use it again prior to winter and the phone app says my device is OFFLINE constantly. I have changed nothing in this time re router or pc etc. Can anyone help please
