Update chaps after talking to Aqualisa technical , I have adjusted the processor control unit to HP eco mode from combi mode this reduces the flow by 2 litres a minute and removed the flow limiter it is not guaranteed to work faultlessly and can fluctuate slightly on temperature but a 2 litres a minute saving is worth trying also getting a grate made with 40 extra holes so should help. First ever main heat exchanger replacement for a Vaillant Ecotec today - 3 & 1/2 hours, including adding inhibitor, and dropping off a part to a mate.

Get some plasterboard in the garage and give it a go. Had to self teach myself after being let down all the time. I'm definitely slower but can get a good finish.

Yes I have been thinking this. Did you use a practice plaster mix (lime and sand) on the plasterboard. Notnsure if it would stick to that or not?

Just use multi finish, think of it as an investment in your future happiness, not having to try and grab a plasterer at short notice when all the walls fall apart as some as you drop your tool bag a bit heavily on day one!

I see. Just keeping adding layer after layer until I can get a decent finish. Nice idea. Thanks
