Complete amateur here ! Shower mixer tap Is Dribbling. I was hoping to see a washer when I took it apart. See attached pic.
how do I fix/replace?

It’s a ceramic cartridge type, and the washer isn’t stuck inside existing seating. You need to remove the washer and obtain a new cartridge suitable for that shower. Do you know the make and model?

thanks for the reply.
The cartridge is the white part in the middle of the housing (in the first picture) ? (with the 2 pizza slice shaped hole in it?
Or it the cartridge in the wall?

No I dont know the make/model. If I remove I presume I could take to a pumbing supplies store?
 
In the fitting in the wall there is a blue seal which the ceramic disc presses on. it looks in bad condition and if removed and replaced the leak should stop. I would also give the cartridge a soak in descaling fluid to clean it up.
