I've just had my 6/7 year old Potterton HE Plus repaired by Baxi, they replaced the igniter probe as the old one was corroded and there is apparently a new re-designed part. So I now have this new probe

The igniter probe was cleaned about 7 months ago by another Gas Safe engineer, so if after 7 months it became heavily corroded again, does this indicate there might be something else wrong too? What about the main bit where the gas burns? This main chamber was cleaned out with a wire brush and washed down last time by the previous engineer who said it was quite badly corroded and he predicted that it wont last long.

I got this repair done under a Baxi service plan which covers repairs.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I`m sure they would of checked all the settings and adjusted to suit afterwards.

It's a potterton... Don't expect it to run like a Worcester Bosch ;)

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4...
