New wireless programmer

Bought a Honeywell CMT927 yesterday and it arrived this morning, so will be fitting it in the next day or so.

106.99 including the dreaded, free delivery, can't be bad. Got it from The tinternet

Hopefully it will be a lot better than the existing Iflow(Drayton) that's currently there which is rubbish

They're ok, only ad a few fail. Just remember to set your off times as low temperatures.

Not entirely sure what this means mucker? But, if it means I'm advertising, then no, not guilty. I just posted here to see what you guys thought as I'm just an amatuer trying to get my heating working properly, an in a couple of instances recently, at all.

As it happens, I've just been looking at te instructions for the stat and the boiler, and I'm confused again :confused5:

It' a grant combi, vortex pro 21e and looking at the 927 wiring, not sure what to connect where.

It has a Drayton wired in at present with CH and DHW switches set to constant, and I presume I wire the 927 as if it were CH burner only?

Isn't a cm927 a single channel programmer? You'll have to wire it from the clock central heating common. How's you electrical competency?

Yes it's single channel Didn't think about that when I bought it. Plumber who fitted it all did everything on the cheap(all done as part of a house extension so he was presumably on a price), so he set DHW to constant with no clock and just a stat to turn heating on and off by temperature settings. We weren't happy with the way the Drayton was working, so I decided to replace it, and have only just realised that I should have got a dual channel

He also fitted a magnetic de-scaler which obviously doesn't work so it looks like I'm going to be getting a proper water softner fitted as soon as my new plumber can get here. Unfortunately he's flat out until the end of Jan
