Hi guys I'm new to this so im not sure I'm writing in the correct page!
I recently enquired into getting into the plumbing and renewable trade through trades gateway and after
the fella came round he said he like to allow me to attend the course. But I'm not sure I trust this company, would anyone know anything about it because I'm really keen on getting into it.

If if anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it!

Hi, I signed up to Trades Gateway a month ago. It's a costly option but the problem with college was I couldn't fit it in with my current job plus with college your are expected to find your own site work and apprenticeship which is virtually impossible these days. If you can afford it and you keep your head on your shoulders and work hard then it's worth going for just because they own their own construction sites around the UK for you to get on site experience and pass your City & Guilds assessments. You do get everything you need with them as part of the package but you are paying for the privilege of that. It's still worthwhile contacting local plumbers/firms though and offering free labour throughout your course as there's no better way to learn than actually being in the midst of it all...good luck with finding someone to take you on though as that seems to be every new apprentices nightmare these days :/ It's one of the reasons college is no longer an option for most because no one will take apprentices on...even for free.
