Sorry if this is in the wrong section, can an admin please move it if necessary.
My multi fuel room heater/boiler has a Honeywell HCW80 thermostat paired to a R6660D receiver. I'm beginning to think the HCW80 is faulty.

It had lost it's pairing with the receiver due to dead batteries over the summer, duly replaced as per user guide. up to now, when the temp was adjusted, the led lit to show function but now it doesn't do that. Following the instructions I think I have successfully paired the devices.

I did start looking for a replacement HCW80 but it seems to only be available as a kit which Honeywell no longer make (old stock on shelves maybe available somewhere).
so my question is as follows

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a HCW80 on its own and if so where (used on ebay but potential faulty part is the risk) or can one of the newer rf units pair with my existing receiver.

I don't particularly want to go to the expense of buying a kit if the receiver is still good.
Any advice is much appreciated

If you have tried to rebind the thermostat to the receiver when it was already bo you have probably double bound it.

If so, you need to completely clear the bindings and then and only then rebind the HCW80.

Thereafter, if that fails replace both ( stat and receiver) with a current model

EBay is you only hope of finding a straight replacement, otherwise need to replace as a pair.
