The existing copper pipe ran in the corner of two walls. It was proud of the brick wall. The old plaster has been removed and the pipe has been covered in felt lagging and gaffer tape. The plumber said the gaffer tape would stop any chance of the pipe touching the wall or plasterboard adhesive and as their wasn't alot of clearance felt lagging was the best solution.

Is this correct?

What is the pipe for ?? Plastic coated copper is a option ?? If the pipe does not get hot , hep 2o pipe in pipe is another , nothing wrong with hair felt if applied incorrectly its available as a wrap on a roll or slide on a few tie wraps probably better than gaffer tape. Kop

I love felt lagging! It has nice low friction plastic inside and the felt outside so, even when plastered in, the pipe is able to expand/contract within the sleeve. It’s also great where a pipe goes through/near timber - stops creaks/ squeaks.
