I think I'll keep the boiler that's in for now

baxi solo he is ok apart from

-the sticking flow switch
-ignition probes which warp
-the gas valve fails
-the sump blocks which causes all the seals to burn out and trips the over heat stat
-cracked burners (older models)
-the many intermittent faults
-the leaking manifold which normally means new heat exchanger because the bolts shear off
-explosive ignition faults caused by most of the above

would not really be my choice of boiler as you can probably tell but to be fair some of the faults could probably be avoided with a good old service- and most of my hatred stems from the older models and promax's
