whirlpool
A whirlpool is a body of rotating water produced by opposing currents or a current running into an obstacle. Small whirlpools form when a bath or a sink is draining. More powerful ones in seas or oceans may be termed maelstroms ( MAYL-strom, -strəm). Vortex is the proper term for a whirlpool that has a downdraft. In narrow ocean straits with fast flowing water, whirlpools are often caused by tides. Many stories tell of ships being sucked into a maelstrom, although only smaller craft are actually in danger. Smaller whirlpools appear at river rapids and can be observed downstream of artificial structures such as weirs and dams. Large cataracts, such as Niagara Falls, produce strong whirlpools.
My water stinks. Smells musty. I installed a Whirlpool water softener mid February of this year ('23) and it's smelled ever since.
So here's the story: we live on a farm in southeast PA. Our well is 60' deep with the water table around 10'. Two houses supplied from the same well.

So I purchased a second hand Neptune Jetted tub (that has not been used before) and I just want to confirm if this is one of those old style tubs that has a problem with all the water not draining out of the pipes or not. I believe the old style used flex pipes which sagged over time leading to...

Hi, I have a Spa/Whirlpool bath and the on/off switch is letting water in from the top of the chrome switch. There is only a slight gap as can be seen in the first picture, but when showering, water gets into the switch and then comes out of the two small holes in the bottom of the switch, as...

Builders have finished screeding shower floor.
In pic 1 the waste to left is for the shower which is connected underground to the waste on the right for the pan.
The black waste pipe in pic 1 resting against the pillar is from the whirlpool bath above - which they did NOT connect.
A wall hung...

Morning All,
Got a cliant with a whirlpool bath. When the jets are turned on the air control starts pushing out water. If I cover any one of the jets the water leak increases.
I would imagine there are non-return valves in the jets themselves to stop this problem and one, if not, all have...
Hi All,
Fitted one of these about six weeks ago, was a nice job (thankfully in a bungalow, concrete floor as its a touch on the heavy side), if a little awkward as the taps and the shower head fitting were all connected in the centre of the bath on the underside up against the wall. When I left...
