A torch is a stick with combustible material at one end, which is ignited and used as a light source. Torches have been used throughout history, and are still used in processions, symbolic and religious events, and in juggling entertainment. In some countries "torch" in modern usage is the term for a battery-operated portable light.

    MAPP gas vs propane gas?

    just wondering whats the better gas to use and why? ive been buying tools over the last few weeks, i bought a superfire 2 blowtorch and propane gas, in the merchants they asked if i wanted mapp or propane.. i know mapp burns hotter.. is that needed for the likes of 15mm and 22mm copper though?

    Blow torch safety

    Hi all, when you sense there is only a little gas left in your mapp or propane bottles, is it best to just let the gas burn off, or can this cause light back down the nozzle and cause the cylinder to explode? Or do you just wait until the pressure is low and replace the cylinder? many thanks

    Gas Torch

    I've got a gas torch where the flame has gone rather small. Plenty of gas left. It's only a Go Gas one, as I don't do a lot of it I didn't buy an expensive one. I've stripped it down before and got the flame back, but it's gone weedy again. Any ideas? Ta.
