In mathematics, the Taylor series of a function is an infinite sum of terms that are expressed in terms of the function's derivatives at a single point. For most common functions, the function and the sum of its Taylor series are equal near this point. Taylor's series are named after Brook Taylor, who introduced them in 1715.
If 0 is the point where the derivatives are considered, a Taylor series is also called a Maclaurin series, after Colin Maclaurin, who made extensive use of this special case of Taylor series in the 18th century.
The partial sum formed by the first n + 1 terms of a Taylor series is a polynomial of degree n that is called the nth Taylor polynomial of the function. Taylor polynomials are approximations of a function, which become generally better as n increases. Taylor's theorem gives quantitative estimates on the error introduced by the use of such approximations. If the Taylor series of a function is convergent, its sum is the limit of the infinite sequence of the Taylor polynomials. A function may differ from the sum of its Taylor series, even if its Taylor series is convergent. A function is analytic at a point x if it is equal to the sum of its Taylor series in some open interval (or open disk in the complex plane) containing x. This implies that the function is analytic at every point of the interval (or disk).
We already have BG Hive but are replacing our boiler and may choose an ATAG.
Hive indicate that their system is not compatible with some Worcester/Bosch boilers so I'm wondering if anyone can confirm that Hive is OK with ATAG
Purely as a matter of interest what would prevent Hive working with...

Hi. Wonder if anybody can help me with this please? Consultants are redesigning the heating for the Church where I work, they're working to an available heat output from the boiler, an Ideal Concord C Series 2 330, of 330,000 btu. That's what our 30+ year old handwritten records say.

need to put a quote together tonight and vaillant tec is closed

Hi all
I work in a microbrewery and just off the water inlet to the building we have three water filters (which are required for brewing) but one of them is currently broken. My boss wants a bypass system so that if one filter is broken we can bypass it and use the other two. They run linear...
Watched the one tonight of real life letters, Nearly made me shed a tear..Reg got shot in the face.. I think when the series finishes it should be put on the school curriculum.
Hi,
I've created this account to ask this question - massive apologies if this is the wrong place, but any help would be very gratefully received!
I'm not a plumber, so excuse any incorrect terminology... I had a leaking internal stopcock (a brass tap from the main water pipe) which...
Need a new engine for my Merry Tiller, and after some measuring and searching this Briggs unit will fit straight on.
Just wondered if any of you guys know where is the best place to get one, or if you had any experience with them i.e are they reliable?
Flea-bay seems to be cheapest so far.....
Not impressed at all!
Thought they would be Mcalpine quality but are worse than Polypipe traps. To be fair the adjustable trap I fitted didn't leak but it was poorly made and the nut jumped off its thread with very little pressure hand tight.

Hi folks,
Anyone give me a heads up on the above issue? I got a phone call from a landlord and am going there tomorrow!!
There's power to the boiler, apparently, but the display is blank, never had this one until now! Initial thoughts are the PCB fuse &/or the PCB? If it's the fuse does...
Just want to check something before I proceed with a re-piping exercise.
I am fitting a new thermostatic shower in the bathroom which is fed from a balanced unvented hot water system.
I have another shower in the en-suite where the hot and cold feeds are both 15mm teed directly from 22mm...
Hi guys,
can anyone give me a bit of guidance, conducted a FGA on the above and a couple of the readings are throwing me. I can't find any guidance in the MI destructions or on their website.
FGA as follows
O2% 12.4
CO2% 4.8
CO PPM 12
CO/CO2 0.0002
Ratio seems fine <0.004
PPM seems fine <100...
I have installed a twin coil indirect HWT. The bottom coil designed for solar has never been used. I was considering series linking the return of the top coil into the bottom coil and then back out to the boiler. The objective is to reduce return temperatures in order to improve condensing mode...

Hi All,
I would really like some help as I am a little confused. I have just got this showerhead and wanted to find out if the normal ibox or rapido t thermostat can work with this. My local plumbing shop has advised me that it is best that I get Hansgrohe Ibox together with a separate shut off...
