room stat

A mechanical room, boiler room or plant room is a room or space in a building dedicated to the mechanical equipment and its associated electrical equipment, as opposed to rooms intended for human occupancy or storage. Unless a building is served by a centralized heating plant, the size of the mechanical room is usually proportional to the size of the building. A small building or home may have at most a utility room but in large buildings, mechanical rooms can be of considerable size, often requiring multiple rooms throughout the building, or even occupying one or more complete floors (see: mechanical floor).

    Thermostatic radiator valves - a legal must?

    Went on the Honeywell wiring course today and remembered about people querying the height of room stat (part P , Part M etc). The instructors said room stat had to be set at 1200mm from floor max(same height as switches etc) to comply with regs etc.

    heating problem

    I have a combi boiler (about 18month old) I have a separate thermostat which is in the hall but when I turn the thermostat below 20 the heating goes off altogether -I can't understand why this is happening any ideas please? Thanks Merlin 77:)
