A mixer, depending on the type, also called a hand mixer or stand mixer, is a kitchen device that uses a gear-driven mechanism to rotate a set of "beaters" in a bowl containing the food or liquids to be prepared by mixing them.
Mixers help automate the repetitive tasks of stirring, whisking or beating. When the beaters are replaced by a dough hook, a mixer may also be used to knead.
A mixer may be a handheld mechanism known as an eggbeater, a handheld motorized beater, or a drill mixer. Stand mixers vary in size from small counter top models for home use to large capacity commercial machines. My wife complained the mixer switching lever was getting stiff so I unscrewed it to see the problem. Monobloc kitchen mixer 32mm back nut - spanner
Anyone coming across these tap fixing components. I'm struggling to find a box spanner to fit. The nut is about 33-34 mm between flats. New install and as far as I can see nothing apart from a box spanner will tighten this. Unless you have the opportunity fit before installing sink. -

With a thermostatic mixer showers, can you replace the unit, in a mains pressure unvented system boiler configuration, by just turning the cold mains off at the stopcock when the water supply enters the property? Will the hot and cold water stop flowing if you turn the mains water off?- Topslice

Shower mixer valve advice please.
I need to replace an old Sirrus 1850 shower mixer valve with a more uptodate mixer bar. Problem is that the hot feed is on the right and the mixer bars I've seen ask for the hot feed to be on the left. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks in advance for any replies.- russtobin

Shower bar mixer install?
I’m installing a new shower bar mixer using a fixing kit which means I have to drill into the tile each side of the pipes to install the bracket. I do not want to hit a pipe, what’s the best way of doing it?
