joint

A joint or articulation (or articular surface) is the connection made between bones in the body which link the skeletal system into a functional whole. They are constructed to allow for different degrees and types of movement. Some joints, such as the knee, elbow, and shoulder, are self-lubricating, almost frictionless, and are able to withstand compression and maintain heavy loads while still executing smooth and precise movements. Other joints such as sutures between the bones of the skull permit very little movement (only during birth) in order to protect the brain and the sense organs. The connection between a tooth and the jawbone is also called a joint, and is described as a fibrous joint known as a gomphosis. Joints are classified both structurally and functionally.

    Hot water cylinder leaking around joint with hot water inlet

    I'm trying to remove the zone valve ion vented tank and the tank started leaking around the joint. I was hoping to just run the tank with immersion till I can get an unvented. Any tips to stop leaks or do you think I need to buy temporary tank. Any help appreciated as I'm without hot water now.

    Is this coupling joint good? Will it hold?

    I had a plumber connect slightly wider radiator with plastic pipes. I wanted to bend the pipe but he said this pipe wont bend. So he just connected it . But i can see there is a lot of pressure on the coupling does this need to be redone? Can you bend this pipe?

    Issue with joint coming apart

    We have a shower drain which has a slip joint nut. The pipe keeps coming detached, leaving the nut and washer in place/attached, as you can see in the photo (towards the top). Would PFTE tape help with this? I presume not, as the nut itself is still attached.. Thanks!
