I've got one of these pumps lying around which I liberated from a Keston Celsius boiler before consigning the rest to the tip. It's in excellent nick. My sister's CH pump (external to the boiler) has just give up the ghost so I thought I might fit the Grundfos and save a bit of cash - however -...
I need to replace a broken circulating pump, Grundfos UP20-BXUT. I'm struggling to find one (I live in France) and wonder if there's another make that would fit into the existing plumbing?
Alternatively, as it's the motor / pump rotor that seems to be sticking, could I buy a basic Grundfos...
Hi folks. I need to replace a Grundfos CC 1-180 central heating pump that has packed in. The flanges are 180 apart and are 1"3/4 but most replacement pumps seem to be 1"1/2. The pipe work by the way is 1/1/4 not copper. Is 1"3/4 some old size or am I doing something wrong?
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement Grundfos circulation pump for an underfloor heating manifold?
I have a Grundfos USP0 15-65 130 Part number 96836743 which is a 1" bsp I believe. Looking to replace this and Grundfos says this is an OEM part which they cannot...
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. Whilst testing a Grundfos pump on vokera (combi) easi heat plus 25c. I used a multimeter on ohm setting, across the live and neutral terminals (on the pump) and got no resistance i.e OL/infinity as apposed to a reading of 130-230 ohms, so theoretically this...
I have replaced a 15 year old Alpha + with a Alpha 2 15-60. It is positioned 1.5m above the boiler( feeding a 10 rads and hot water on S plan), in the attic with a 0.5m head from a header tank.
I am having great difficulty getting the new pump to self bleed. Setting it to constant fastest speed...
Hi All,
Does anyone have experience with installing a Grundfos Scala 2 on to the water main in a large domestic? (2 showers, 2 baths, washing machine always on)
Already has a 200l accumulator but we are looking at something to improve our 2.1bar to 3.5 in to the megaflow and to the garden tap...
Hi Forum,
I am attempting to manually balance the radiators in my house, to get an average of 11c drop between Flow and Return on each radiator.
I have set the boiler temprature to 65c.
With the Grundfos Alpha 3, it has several control modes, with each mode needing a value set:
Constant...
I have a Grundfos Ups2 15-50/60 pump, approx 2 years old (still under warranty) which does not start when the system is cold or has not been calling for heat for a while, eg. first thing in the morning.
It makes a clicking noise every few seconds, then the boiler overheats, boiler thermostat...
Hi,
I'm not a qualified plumber, but looking to replace a 10+ year old (and very noisy) Ideal central heating pump with a Grundfos UPS2 15-50/60. I've read a few installation guides, and think I know what needs doing, but just wanted to check if it should be easy enough to do a straight swap...
Grundfos UPS3 is £99.98 from Toolstation, best price I can find locally, or even delivered free next day, BUT, the pump is listed in "shower pumps" on their website, not "central heating pumps", so I nearly missed it!!
Hi Forum,
Has anyone actually used this application 'Go Balance' from Grundfos to successfully balance a radiator system with one of their compatible pumps like the Alpha 3.
I'm failing misserably, at the moment the application complains that radiators valves are blocked, even through when I...
Hello Forum,
I have installed a Grundfos Alpha 3 pump, which comes with a companion mobile application called 'Go Balance', the two interact to allow the installer to "easily" balance the CH/HW system.
Now stupidly, Grundfos in their almighty wisdon, have decided that it would be very clever...
Hi guys!
I'm getting a dead shower pump replaced with a new one.
It's for a 2010 Aqualux Crysta steam cabin and the requirements are a Negative head twin impeller pump, either 2 or 3 bar. (only the shower will be hooked up)
Water pressure isn't great in the house, so a negative/universal head...
hi all, dropped the Grundfos 15-50 bleed valve down the floorboards out of reach. The whole contents of the water tank has emptied. Looked online but can only see options to buy a whole new pump when we only need a replacement valve. Any ideas?? Thanks
Friend has a Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 VUW 246/5-3 R4 boiler that was installed just over 2 years ago (now out of warranty as not installed by Advance engineer).
The pump makes a screeching noise when the hot water is running or when the pump is operating at a high rate for CH. Before I go and...
Bro had a couple of these fitted last year to boost the hot and cold gravity flows in his flat. They were chosen to be a gentle boost as they add a very useful 0.5 to 0.75 extra bar (to a gravity system which is barely 0.2 bar), and are very quiet in use.
They worked a treat, although the cold...
