garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from R&B, jungle and dance-pop. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular "2-step" rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM.
UK garage encompassed subgenres such as speed garage and 2-step, and was then largely subsumed into other styles of music and production in the mid-2000s, including bassline, grime and dubstep. The decline of UK garage during the mid-2000s saw the birth of UK funky, which is closely related.

I intend to install the washing machine in the detached garage which has a water supply, surface water drains but no soil drain. I have exposed the 110mm kitchen soil drain (see sketch) which is approx. 6 metres from the proposed site of washing macine. I would like advice on what is the best...
Need to get a multimeter for when I'm doing any wiring on heating systems. Who here does their own wiring and what multimeter do you use?
Looking for something that will do everything I need it to but that is simple to use.
Thanks
Hi, I am not a plumber but am just wanting some advice if possible? I recently bought a house and moved in yesterday. There is a cold water feed in the garage for a washing machine which is fed from the main house.
In the house you can see where they have joined into the house cold water with...
Bit of a weird one this.
Went to a customers today and among a few rads they want me to fit, they have a problem with the pipe feeding their washing machine in the garage, freezing!
its not surprising as it runs from waist height out of the kitchen wall , then in poly it runs down the wall...
I was thinking of putting a rad in my garage as I have made it into my office now and it will be freezing in the winter, I realise there is the chance of pipes bursting even if they are lagged but what about the radiator itself will that cope in the cold weather? I dont want to put a frost stat...
Found this quite interesting today considering i find wether your a plumber or gas fitter i normally get questioned on my prices or call out charges. Basically the cable on my garage door had snapped on one side so has been in a constant closed state since it has happened and me being on a cant...
Hi all,
New to the forum and inevitably asking for advice. We are having a garage built that has an upstairs with a small en-suite, the question is how to heat the shower, the water pressure is not great in the main house so will be pitiful in the garage some 20 metres away so this rules out a...
Hi all,
Just been round to look at a job a neighbour on our estate wants done. Basically, bring supply pipework out of the house (insulated of course) down the wall, under the ground, along a 5m or so run, back up the outside of the garage wall and into the garage for a tap on the inside wall...
I have been looking at shelving around the net and came across just what I was looking for. Quite a good price but then you add the dreaded and delivery and your looking at a much different price.

Hello all. My first post.
I have a Vaillant eco tec boiler in the garage with built in frost stat. There is also a Honeywell frost stat inside the garage wired up to the boiler. The boiler is coming on when the temperature dips but all radiators get very hot and stay on for ages (days) even...
HI,
Had to pull the school book out. on this one.
Have a keston 55kw system boiler, 300 litre unvented tank, approx 150 m2 under floor heating and 14 medium sized radiator's as specified by architect.
On top of that a range cooker and a combi boiler to be fitted at a later date in a granny...
can anyone give me the current rules and regs on boilers in domestic garages eg can they be fitted in this area? something i doubt given the fuel vapour but without the precise regs i,m not able answer some ones question
Been asked to plumb in a washer into an external garage (not connected to house) - the location of the external building is about 6 ft away from the house so obviously considering burying the supply (to min 750mm) - but the garage has been built onto an existing concrete base and no idea what...
My boiler is in my garage and I want to plumb one radiator off it in the garage
The boiler is really tight to the wall and the pipe work is to the wall side so very awkward to tap into
So I have drawn up two plans that might be feasable
Plan A is tapped off the flow side coming out of the...
