female
Female (symbol: ♀) is the sex of an organism that produces the large non-motile ova (egg cells), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete during sexual reproduction.A female has larger gametes than a male. Females and males are results of the anisogamous reproduction system, wherein gametes are of different sizes, unlike isogamy where they are the same size. The exact mechanism of female gamete evolution remains unknown.
In species that have males and females, sex-determination is based on either chromosomes, or environmental conditions. Most female mammals, including female humans, have two X chromosomes. Female characteristics vary between different species with some species having pronounced female characteristics, such as the presence of pronounced mammary glands in mammals.
In humans, the word female can also be used to refer to gender.

Just been to my local heating spares place I use and the manager said he's never heard of it, I've used this type of fitting in the past but can't remember where I got them from!
Thanks.

So we have a 1.5" female connector, and the pipe going into it has snapped off, leaving itself glued flush in there. The pipe is for an exterior pipe leading down (at about 45 degree) into a drain. So can anyone think of a way to connect a fresh pipe onto it?
It's basically as per this image -...

I've taken out an old under-sink waste disposal unit and replaced it with a simple basket strainer. I now need to connect the 40mm male tail pipe of the strainer indirectly to the P-trap below and off to the side. I need an adapter to adapt the male strainer tail to plain 40mm pipe. At the...
Went to install a new gas cooker on the way home this afternoon, Kenwood all gas 90cm range cooker.
Why do the makers put a male connection on the back of the cookers? Is it just to wind me up when I have not got a 1/2 inch female coupler on the van? or is there another valid reason? Do the...
I bought a compression (threaded) Type A drain off and female 15mm coupler from my local Plumb Center. The thread on the drain off is longer than the female coupler fitting so some of the thread shows when screwed fully on.
Is this normal?
