Nest Thermostat firing boiler every hour

good morning folks, We moved into a new house about 4 months ago and straight away swapped the old danfloss programmer with a 3rd generation nest thermostat. I am trying to find out why my Megaflow CL210 loses its bubble regularly after three months and would appreciate any comments on why this might be. The current position is: 1. The unit was professionally installed in 1999 and seems in good condition. 2. There is secondary circulation system...

    Glow-worm 12HXI ignition faliure

Every winter without fail this boiler throws an F1 code a couple time a week. What I find strange is that a quick reset does not help, it tries to fire up but fails again, however, if you leave it switched off for 10 minutes and then turn it back on, it fires up. Anyone know what the issue could be?

Question re: an old Worcester 9.24 electronic boiler and upgrading

Howdy all, my flat came with a worcester 9.24 boiler and it has served us well for the past 8 years. The only hiccup was when the fan needed replacing about a year ago. It also requires a reset (unplug from the wall for 10/15 minutes) very rarely (perhaps four times since we've had it). Apart...

Potterton 45 roaring and the search for stores

We have a Potterton 45 back boiler and it often makes a loud roaring sound as it tries to light. It rarely fails, but it can take a while before lighting. Our heating engineer has been here twice, and on both occasions it lit every time in a most healthy fashion. I realise that sooner or...

    Piping up heating system

When piping up a heating system do you pay much attention to which side of the rad. you take the flow and return to. As to say if you were fitting trvs on the left of the rad you'd take flow to the left side of every rad. Or just get a flow and return to every rad and don't bother about which...
