Hello
i need to replace a leaking tap on an old bath. The inlet centres are 160mm apart and I'm struggling to find a suitable mixer. Does anyone know of a supplier? I have tried eBay, Amazon, Plumbworld etc. Almost all seem to be standard 180mm and the distance isn't searchable on the sites...

Been to look at a job to replace a "plumbed in" shower which has 60mm pipe centres. Does anyone know if you can get a shower valve to this spec as I'd like to fit like for like if possible?
why dont gas training centres have a fixed training document and info - people are being taught different things eg - when i retook in oct was told flue should be 300mm from any fabric opening even unopenable window yet i phoned gas safe and was told 150mm from non opening no wonder us gas...
Does anyone know of a shower tap (early bar type) branded IMI Shower Max?
I switch it on and it runs hot for about 10 seconds then runs cold even though the hot feed from the tank is hot. I suspect it's buggered.
It has a tap on either end - one (right) pointing sideways controls the heat and...
I have recently changed my mind on training centres, I used to think that it was just other plumbers getting annoyed about training centres training people in a few weeks rather then Months or even years.
But however I have recently changed my mind.
Don't get me wrong, for the NVQ you cant...
Whats the oldest age anyone has completed a plumbing / gas course at a training centre. Im 61 but have worked as a drainage engineer and house builder for years.
I wonder why a gas engineer doesnt take on a student and train him for the same money the centres take. I think Id rather pay the...
Customer wants cheap and cheerful and easy to fit because they're selling up.
Fed by a combi. Looks like compression connections and 150mm centres (ish...153mm maybe? looks like the new mira 415's are advertised as 153mm centres)

Hi all, To save a re-tile I am trying to locate a chrome shower mixer which has 184mm inlet pipe centres. The original mixer was replaced with a cheapie mixer and a brass connector to fill the gap (cheapie shower has 150mm centres). As you can imagine it looks a bit of a mess with the brass...
I need to fit a wall mounted bath mixer tap. It replaces an existing similar tap. To accommodate the spacing between the pipe centres, the existing taps were mounted using dog leg reducers. The new tap was also supplied with a pair of the same, see attached picture.
I assume that these dog legs...
I am replacing a wall mounted bath mixer tap (not thermostatic) with new. The trouble is the centres on the new tap are a few mm different to the existing, which was fitted onto eccentric reducers.
It seems to me that the eccentric reducers are the bits which need to be adjusted to line up with...
